The Saginaw County CAC’s Weatherization Program provides free weatherization services to low-income homeowners and renters throughout Saginaw County. Weatherization helps low-income residents save money and also results in safer, more comfortable homes. Weatherizing your home can help you save an average of $358 during the first year!
Eligibility criteria are:
- Income at, or below, 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

To apply for service bring:
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License or State Picture ID for the home owner/applicant
- Social Security cards for everyone in the household
- Most recent Consumers Energy bill OR
- Most recent receipt from fuel provider
- Proof of income (for everyone in the home)
- Must have proof for the last 3 months which includes:
- Employment check paystubs
- Child support
- Unemployment statement
- Social Security statement
- SSI statement
- Bank Statements ARE NOT accepted
- If you, or anyone in your household, receives food stamps (FAP) benefit, documentation MUST BE provided
