Saginaw CAC Celebrates 60 Years of Impact — And Wants to Hear Your Story
Saginaw, MI — April 28, 2025— The Saginaw County Community Action Committee (SCCAC) is proudly celebrating its 60th Anniversary—six decades of service, support, and self-sufficiency in Saginaw County. To mark this milestone, the organization is launching a community-wide call for stories that highlight the real-life impact of its work.
Were you or someone you know touched by a SCCAC program?
Have you volunteered, partnered, or donated to our efforts over the years?
Is there a memory, milestone, or moment that mattered to you?
We want to hear from you.
Your stories are the heartbeat of our work—and the cornerstone of our legacy. Whether it was emergency assistance that helped you through a tough time, a youth program that shaped your future, or a community garden that brought neighbors together, your experiences help narrate our shared history.
“Each story represents a thread in the fabric of Saginaw County’s resilience,” said Hurley Coleman III, Executive Director. “We’re inviting everyone—past participants, partners, staff, and supporters—to help us honor this legacy by sharing the moments that mattered most.”
To share your story, please email us at info@saginawcac.org, mail us your written testimonial at 2824 Perkins St, Saginaw, MI 48601 or send us a direct message on Facebook at facebook.com/saginawcac
These stories may be featured in our 60th Anniversary Celebration materials, social media spotlights, and our Celebrating 60 Capital Campaign, which is raising funds to modernize and expand our headquarters and core programs. Together, let’s celebrate the impact we’ve made—and build toward the future we all deserve.
