The Saginaw County CAC provides residents the opportunity to grow nutritious fresh vegetable gardens by providing plants. Nutrition education and recipes are also provided to encourage healthy eating habits.

Eligibility criteria are:
  • Income at, or below, 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

  • Saginaw County Resident
To apply for service bring:
  • Current Michigan Driver’s License or State Picture ID for all adults in the household (18 years of age and older)
  • Social Security cards for everyone in the household
  • Proof of income (for everyone in the home)
    • Must be proof for the last 90 days
      • Employment check paystubs
      • Child support
      • Unemployment statement
      • Social Security statement
      • SSI statements
      • Bank Statements ARE NOT accepted
  • If you, or anyone in your household, receives food stamps (FAP) benefit, documentation MUST BE provided
