The Deliverable Fuel program provides up to $1,200 in deliverable heating fuel, which may be any of the following fuels:

  • Coal
  • Fuel Oil
  • Kerosene
  • Propane

or up to $850 for any of the following fuels:

  • Heating Fuel Pellets
  • Wood

Where this is the main, and only, heating source.

Eligibility criteria are:
  • Fuel supply at, or below, 25% and household members are in danger of losing their only safe and adequate source of heat
  • Income at, or below, 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

  • Saginaw County Resident
To apply for service bring:
  • Current Michigan Driver’s License or State Picture ID for all adults in the household (18 years of age and older)
  • Social Security cards for everyone in the household
  • Current deliverable fuel bill statement/account number
  • Proof of income (for everyone in the home)
    • Must be proof for the last 30 days
      • Employment check paystubs
      • Child support
      • Unemployment statement
      • Social Security statement
      • Bank Statements ARE NOT accepted
    • If you, or anyone in your household, receives food stamps (FAP) benefit, documentation MUST BE provided
