Eligibility criteria are:
- Consumers Energy bill must be past due
- Income at, or below, 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

To apply for service bring:
- Current Michigan Driver’s License or State Picture ID for all adults in the household (18 years of age and older)
- Social Security cards for everyone in the household
- Past due Consumers Energy bill or Shut Off notice
- Proof of income (for everyone in the home)
